TO BE FILLED BY GOD IS AN IRRESISTIBLE IMPULSE TO MAKE HIM KNOWN
1.942. How great is God’s mystery in Him and in His outward manifestation! This mystery is so profound, divine and eternal, that the soul who discovers it, turns into a stream of life in saturation with the Infinite One and in the communication to others of the most superabundant currents that pervade its being. (9-12-72)
1.943. Contact with the Infinite One fills the soul, and on being entirely filled with Him, we feel the need to make those around us share in our joy; because the divine love that penetrates us, is an overflowing outpouring on all men. (18-8-73)
1.944. He who possesses God, lives from His loving wisdom in the joy of the Holy Spirit, who fills us with the abundance of His gifts, to manifest Christ’s true message to men. (17-12-76)
1.945. Whoever lives from the supernatural communicates it; and in this are God’s true children to be distinguished from those who, with an earthly outlook, are only able to communicate the goods of here below. (17-12-76)
1.946. The more we know God, the more we will love Him; yet an urgent need will all the more arise in our souls to make Him known and loved, with loving sorrows, because His own people neither know Him, nor love Him, nor receive Him. The inner living of Christ was a mystery of love and pain. (14-2-76)
1.947. Insofar as the Eternal inundates me with His love, I love each and every person, according to the plan of His will for me and for everyone. (13-1-77)
1.948. I want the Being in what He is, as He is, and for the reason He is so; burning with longings that pierce me through for the complete encounter of eternally possessing Him; but His will, that has been branded with fire in the recondite part of the innermost being of my spirit, with its gaze set always on God alone, sends me forth to seek souls for Him, glory for His Love, unknown to the overwhelming majority of men. (13-2-77)
“YOUR ZEAL CONSUMES ME”
1.949. I am Church, and, therefore, I love God and I seek all men to fill their souls with true justice and love. (17-12-76)
1.950. Where are God’s children, full of love, hope and true charity? “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain”; yet I have to search for them, and, for this, I have to live and not die. (30-10-76)
1.951. I want to live and, in order to help the Church, suffer. For the love of my Church I do not want to die and fly to Eternity. I want to live, even if I find it so hard to wait for the day of my encounter with God…! (30-10-76)
1.952. O, Lord! the love I have for You consumes me with the urgent need to make known the treasures of my Holy Church. (11-5-61)
1.953. My mission is to sing, to sing…! to sing the richness of my Church! There is no time or room in my spirit for anything else. (2-6-65)
1.954. I bear within myself a fire that burns the innermost being of my soul with the need of being listened to by the members of my Church. (27-1-65)
1.955. Whenever I seek God, I find Him; yet I do not find the way of giving to creatures all He communicates to me for them, asking for their reciprocation of response. (25-4-75)
1.956. I need to receive the living water from the bosom of the Trinity and let its streams flow along those channels the Lord opens up for me; and when, for any reason, I cannot do so, I feel oppressed by the floodgates of silence; a silence which, at times, becomes so sorrowful for me, that I feel as if I were to die in these straits for the tortures caused to my soul by having to bridle the impetus of “the power from above.” (8-1-77)
1.957. Lord, when I love You, all seems nothing to me, when faced with the terrible need that consumes me for making You known in the bosom of the Church. (11-5-61)
1.958. My God, would that I could only utter You in my whole being, so that people might not dwell on me, but rather, by treading on this step, so divinely will they go up in their ascension towards You, that they may live from Your infinite and eternal Trinity. (16-9-61)
1.959. May I be so much You, that those who come to me seeking You, may always find You. (22-8-61)
PRAYER AND APOSTOLATE
1.960. When, in the relish of prayer, one tastes how good and delightful the Lord is, the soul would like to shout to all men the infinite mystery God is Himself in the silent concealment of His Trinitarian life. (8-8-61)
1.961. In order to know what God is and what He does, what we are and what we have to do, we have to approach the silence of the Eucharist and, inflamed by the love of the Holy Spirit, we will feel impelled to give ourselves to others so as to make them partakers of the only and true happiness. (7-2-67)
1.962. How many are those who think that there is no need to pray, that God is to be found only in others! And this is how we are being deceived by that poisonous poison of disordered and disorienting activism! (7-2-67)
1.963. The great apostolate of my life lies in prayer, where, in priestly posture, I reach all places, and I obtain all I ask, because I ask what God desires to give me. (4-10-74)
1.964. When the apostolic works stifle our spirit, not leaving us quiet time for prayer, they are like a fever, which gradually weakens us until the point of making us fall sick. (11-3-75)
1.965. The man who does not pray, knows neither God nor His eternal plan, and therefore, he does not know the perfect way of acting in relation to God Himself and to others. (14-12-76)
1.966. You say you preach Christ, but you are not able to live out His mysteries in a supernatural way. How can you dare to give a Christ you do not know, thus disfiguring the face of the Church, and becoming a scandal and ruin of souls? (17-12-76)
1.967. The man who loses God, gets disconcerted and disorients those around him. (17-12-76)
1.968. Because you lost contact with God, you lost your supernatural outlook, your soul was darkened and you turned into a preacher of confusion, leading your brethren to the darkness of a gloomy night, without hopes and without love. (17-12-76)
1.969. You who consecrated yourself to God to live on Him and communicate Him, I ask you today in His presence, that you enter into your own conscience and examine what moves you when teaching others, lest you, instead of leading them along the way of Life, may recklessly drive them into eternal disgrace. (17-12-76)
1.970. Confusion invades us…! Let us recline upon the chest of Christ, like Saint John during the Last Supper, to grasp His thinking and be able to preach with perfection the message that the Master brought to us. (17-12-76)
1.971. If the soul-Church could savour and thus discover the superabundant reality that is enclosed within the tabernacle, what created power would ever be able to take it away from its presence? Only God’s infinite will could separate it from there, to send that soul forth to meet others, impelled by the burning need of bringing them all beside the doors of the tabernacle. (14-9-74)
GOD IS IN THE FULFILMENT OF OUR DUTY SO THAT WE MAY COMMUNICATE HIM
1.972. When, out of love for God and for others, you fulfil your own duties with perfection, wherever the divine will might place you, you are a living witness to the Church who illumines men, launching them with your example towards the encounter with the Kingdom of Heaven. (14-12-76)
1.973. God created me only for Him, to live from Him in Himself and in the fulfilment of His plan; therefore, every daily event, carried out for love and in union with Christ, has an almost infinite worth. (19-1-67)
1.974. Jesus, the infinite Word of the Father, He who is by His divine nature the Eternal Architect, when dwelling among men, to confound the pride of the haughty, became the Son of the carpenter who for thirty years manifested to the world the greatness of His mission in the daily perfection of the fulfilment of duties. (14-12-76)
1.975. Perfection for Christians is not about having this or that role in society, but about happily living there wherein the divine will places us. (14-12-76)
1.976. Those who truly know God and love Him in the impulse of the Holy Spirit, love others, and become, according to their profession and status, wherever the fulfilment of divine will draws them, a perfect manifestation of the Church, a living Christ who, in the simplicity of their work, speaks to us of eternal life. (14-12-76)
1.977. God created me for Him, He calls me unto His bosom, and through Christ, breathlessly asks me for souls for His glory. I have to bring them unto Him through a life of sacrifice, lived in the simplicity of the fulfilment of my own duties, day after day, there, wherever God’s will might wish to place me. (14-12-76)
1.978. How many “Nicodemus” would like to follow Jesus…! But, cowardly dragged by human respect, they hide to seek Him at night, being unable before others to bear witness to the Church in the midst of the cloud of confusion that invades us. (17-12-76)
1.979. Is there a greater disgrace in life than not knowing if we are pleasing to God? And, how can we please God, when we do not do what we ought to, as our vocation demands of us, in the bosom of the Church? (30-9-75)
TO MAKE GOD BE CONTENT AND TO MAKE OTHERS BE HAPPY…!
1.980. My soul-Church is happy when, in the perfection of the fulfilment of the divine plan, it loves all men, trying to make all those around me happy, with the perfect possession of God’s goods. (14-12-76)
1.981. I love God, that is why I die out of love for my brethren, especially for those who are most in need; and I am restless until I see to it that “God is all in all” according to the perfect plan of His infinite will. (14-12-76)
1.982. My ecclesial dimension makes me love all men, being inclined to the weakest, knowing that the most disgraced is the one who does not have God; which is why I irresistibly launch myself into seeking them, to make them happy with the joy of the possession of the Infinite One, alone capable of replenishing man’s heart. (14-12-76)
1.983. Upon feeling imprinted on my spirit the heartbeats of Christ, I live and give myself up for the glory of the Father and for the good of my brethren, being wholly and entirely for all “in the charity of the Holy Spirit, who makes me call God ‘Father’ ” and live in union with all those around me. (14-12-76)
1.984. Jesus, I adore You, seeking only to give repose to You and to make You smile, through the complete fulfilment of the Father’s will for me, in the love of the Holy Spirit. (22-12-74)
1.985. My happiness lies in making You smile, Jesus, making You be content, and doing the same with the ones I love; I know this will entail for me great sacrifices, deep silences and painful smiles; but You, my Infinite Love, deserve everything. (7-1-77)
1.986. It is so beautiful to make your loved ones happy, so much so! that the joy of pure love, in heaven, will consist in rejoicing in the fact that God is happy; and this joy will make us blissful for a whole Eternity. (7-1-77)
1.987. I want to make the ones I love happy! And I want to be happy, making them happy! And I will only achieve this by smiling in the silence of my cross. (7-1-77)
1.988. For the love of Jesus and for the love of others, I want to be a clown; a clown that makes everyone smile, even if the soulis bleeding. (11-1-77)
1.989. How beautiful is the mission of the clown, if the goal of such mission is to make others rejoice by letting go of the sentiments of one’s heart! (11-1-77)
1.990. Today I have understood myself better: To be a clown, to be the joy of all, bringing happiness wherever I go! And to do this out of love for God and for the ones I love. I will laugh even if I weep in my soul, and in my dying I will be always smiling to make all those around me happy. (11-1-77)
THE PERFECT PLAN OF GOD FOR CREATION
1.991. God created us to possess Him in the perfect enjoyment of everything which, in order to help us achieve this end, He has put within our reach. But the heart of man, on being separated from the infinite good, instead of seeking the divine glory, selfishly lives for his own glory, drawing to himself all things, to the disadvantage, most of the times, of justice, peace and love. (14-12-76)
1.992. If we lived in the fulfilment of God’s will, we would be happy with the possession of God’s richness and with the earth’s goods being equitably distributed as brethren. (14-12-76)
1.993. “O righteous Father, the world has not known You!” And that is why pride, injustice and the lack of love enslave man’s heart and rule over it. (14-12-76)
1.994. My soul-Church, leaning upon the innermost part of Christ’s chest, with my gaze set on Him, penetrates into the truth of the infinite excellence and into the perfect plan of eternal Love for His children. And, with that same gaze, it understands how terrible it is to say “NO” to God, which is why man becomes so dulled that, in the selfishness of his heart, he lives only for himself, forgetting the sublime purpose he was created for. (14-12-76)
1.995. “Be fruitful and multiply” possessing the earth… but people fight among themselves to snatch from one another what Infinite Love so over-abundantly gave to all of them. (14-12-76)
1.996. Man’s heart, darkened by sin, seeks only his own glory in all things, even to the disadvantage of God’s glory and the peaceful and joyful happiness of his brethren. (14-12-76)
1.997. He-Who-Is Eternal does everything well, because He is Himself perfect through Himself in the intercommunication of His Eternal Good. But man, who separated himself from the divine thinking, at the confusion he brought in by breaking the Creator’s plan, foolishly dares to think that the workings of the Infinite One are not perfect, since he only knows God through men’s actions, for not having discovered the face of God in the darkness of the night of exile. (14-12-76)
1.998. If you knew God, if you discovered His eternal plans, you would know His perfect workings, and imbued with the light of His infinite wisdom, you would become capable of judging things led by the divine thinking, seeing in everything the rich perfection of His being and workings. (17-12-76)
1.999. Everyone has within creation a particular task, according to the gift received from above, for the fulfilment of the eternal plans. (14-12-76)
2.000. The Creator gives his own gift to each person, and our response must be in keeping with that very gift, making extensive, for the benefit of others, the fruits of these gifts. Only by so doing we will find the true meaning God wanted to give to life, when, as a united whole, He created us and called us to live from Him in the equitable enjoyment of the earth’s goods and those of society. (14-12-76)
2.001. God, infinite perfection, as the supreme artificer of creation, gives his own gift to each man, so that within the concert of creation itself, he may play his own note. And if each and every one of us pursued the divine will in the unfolding of our own gift, we would accomplish, by mutually helping one another, not only the work of our own sanctification, but the material and social building up of the world we live in. (14-12-76)
2.002. If all men, according to the charism each one of them has received from the Creator for the common good, joined together to make them bear fruit for God’s glory and for the benefit of others, the earth would be filled with goods, we would enjoy a most just peace and, in the joy of the Holy Spirit, we would be happy as we walk towards the Father’s House. (14-12-76)
CHILDREN OF GOD AND BRETHREN IN CHRIST WITH ALL ITS CONSEQUENCES
2.003. God is the infinite Home, the Eternal Family, and He created all of us to make us sit at His table, giving us food and drink from the most succulent delicacy of His very same Divinity. (14-12-76)
2.004. How can I be called a Christian, if I do not live out Christ in the perfect greatness of His dimension, radiating the message of His life, being “all for all” and being ready, out of love for the Father and for men, even to lay down my life for them, doing what Christ did? (14-12-76)
2.005. The Word Incarnate became one of us to make us become one with Him and uplift us unto His very breast, where we will live as brethren in the most blissful abundance of the Father’s House. (14-12-76)
2.006. The Church, that is the Home of the great family of God’s children here on earth, has to lead us to drink of the Divinity, making us live as brethren, in the fair distribution of all goods, in order to fly without any obstacles towards the joyful encounter with the Divine Family. (14-12-76)
2.007. In the Church, the Mystical Body of Christ, having become one with Him, and one among ourselves through Him, we are children of one and the same Father. Therefore, just as all the spiritual goods of the Father’s House are for all His children, it is also the desire of God’s will that all earthly goods which came out from His hands, be distributed according to the perfect way He desired. (14-12-76)
2.008. In order to call God Father, in the impulse, peace and joy of the Holy Spirit, we must feel all men as brothers, since the Creator filled the earth most abundantly, with the goods that came out from His hands, for the perfect distribution among all His children. (14-12-76)
2.009. How can anyone be called a true son of God, while showing no concern for the spiritual and material problems of his brethren…? This one does not know the Father’s heart, who wants to make men happy through the perfect possession of all His goods. (14-12-76)
2.010. Member of the Church, live Christ, call God Father, lovingly, in the Holy Spirit, embrace all men within your soul, and then you will enjoy and relish the peace that the world cannot give. (14-12-76)
2.011. If Christ, out of love for the Father and for His brothers, was born in a manger and died on a cross, becoming “all for all,” can I say that I love God and my brethren, when I live only for myself, showing no concern for the needs of others and, maybe stealing, retaining, or not distributing well the riches that God put within creation, with a Father’s affection and tenderness, for each and every one of His children? (14-12-76)
2.012. How could those who are aware of being sons of the same Father, disorderly snatch from their brethren that which, for the common good, God so abundantly put within creation? (14-12-76)
2.013. Can anyone who does not feel others as brethren, feel himself and call himself God’s child, when he acts not in accordance with the faith he professes? (14-12-76)
2.014. A Christian cannot live a faith full of hope and steeped in charity that makes him look heavenwards longing for the future life, while being oblivious to the fact that, as long as he journeys in exile, he has to fulfil the sacred obligation, imposed by God Himself, in relation to others, of seeking true justice, love and peace. (14-12-76)
2.015. The Christian who reflects Christ in his life, tries to live in society, making the problems of others his own and, according to his own possibilities and vocation, to solve them. (14-12-76)
2.016. If, for God’s love and His glory, you work and strive for a more just and equitable society, He will illumine you, putting, as a seal in your heart, love and peace. (14-12-76)
2.017. The Christian who walks towards the Father’s House, seeking the happiness of Heaven, as long as he marches through the exile, must observe the Lord’s precept of “exploiting and dominating the earth,” doing on his part all he can to obtain a more just world. (14-12-76)
IN THE UNION AND PEACE OF TRUE CHARITY
2.018. Christ is the God of peace, of justice, of truth and love. Therefore, those who on communicating Christ lose their own peace, are not acting according to God, but according to their own thinking, and therefore misleading others. (17-12-76)
2.019. When agitation, hatred, bitterness and restlessness take hold of you, driving men along that very path, you are separating them from Christ, who is “the light of the peoples” in the peace of a true charity. (14-12-76)
2.020. When you say that you are seeking truth, justice and peace, are you doing this under the impulse of Him who is “the Way, the Truth and the Life,” in order to draw men to the true possession of God’s goods and of earthly goods, or are you doing this according to your own sluggish thinking, or perhaps, influenced by those who, living only for the things that are below, do not know how to give a truly supernatural meaning to all events? (14-12-76)
2.021. How can you say you are a good Christian, when you think only in giving men the enjoyment of some earthly goods which they possess today and will lose tomorrow, showing no concern, perhaps, due to the obfuscation of your darkened mind, about giving them the supernatural goods that will make them blissful for a whole Eternity? (14-12-76)
2.022. If I want all men to live in true justice, I must bring them to the heart of Christ, wherein one lives by drinking of the infinite wellspring of eternal perfection. (14-12-76)
2.023. Our actions will be more or less perfect insofar as we live from the Infinite One, who gives our actions a value immensely superior to anything we could ever dream of. (15-10-63)
2.024. He who knows God, in His light shines forth and illumines others along a path that is safe and certain, full of justice and peace. (17-12-76)
2.025. Only by being perfectly moulded to the loving plans of our Father, will we be able to be “all for all” in the most perfect joy of His eternal design fulfilled. (14-12-76)
2.026. The man who finds God, is enlightened, and in the light of the divine thinking, loves the Creator and gives himself up to others to the point of making them happy in the perfect adjustment to the divine will. (14-12-76)
2.027. I cannot “call God ‘Father,’ under the impulse of the Holy Spirit,” unless I feel I am a brother to all men, living, as a consequence, a mystery of love, justice and peace. (14-12-76)
