It was July 4th, 1975, when Mother Trinidad opened a new House of Apostolate in the city of Guadalajara (Spain). <\/p>\n

She stayed there with her spiritual offspring in this beloved diocese of the one who would become \u201cThe Bishop of The Work of the Church\u201d: Bishop Laureano Cast\u00e1n Lacoma.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We transcribe below some paragraphs from his homily at the inauguration of the house:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Work of the Church comes to make all be Church; The Work of the Church comes to make us all discover, or rediscover if you will, by delving into the mystery of the Church and to help us enter into that arcane reality of the Church which is a mystery of unity and charity. All of us, if we are faithful to the Spirit, will feel more like the Church, will feel more united, will feel more in tune with one another, will feel more influenced by the unifying charity of the Holy Spirit. <\/p>\n

[\u2026]<\/p>\n

Apostolate, the work to make the Church grow, the effort to make others deepen into the Church, is above all a work of charity and a work of love. It is charity that must be radiated, it is charity that is the flame that must be lit in hearts, and this, I am sure, is what The Work of the Church will do in this city and in this Diocese, as it has been doing wherever it acts. Let us all ask the Lord that this gift, which can only come from God through the Holy Spirit, that this virtue of charity be poured out with abundance, with fullness, upon our hearts, upon The Work of the Church, upon those who remain at the head of this house, so that their apostolate may be truly profound and truly effective. <\/p>\n

I know that the deepest aspiration of the founder of The Work of the Church and that of her spiritual children is precisely this: that life may be an act of pure love for God; not many acts, but one single, uninterrupted act throughout the length and breadth of life, culminating in the surrender of our spirit into the hands of the Lord, when, like Christ on the cross we say: ‘Father, into your hands I commend my spirit’ (Lk. 23:46).<\/p>\n

Hopefully that not only she, but all of us and all those to whom the effects of the evangelizing work and the apostolic radiance of The Work of the Church reach, can see such an aspiration fulfilled.<\/p>\n

May we all, after having worked here on earth, both in material occupations and in direct apostolic work and occupations, through them, achieve this act of pure love, may it culminate with the last beat of our heart and connect and join seamlessly with the first act of love that we will make when we open our eyes to the light of heaven and see face to face the beauty of the divine face.\u201d<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Bishop Laureano Cast\u00e1n Lacoma placed the Most Blessed Sacrament in the Tabernacle, and since then it remains accompanied by the children of Mother Trinidad, in the small chapel that she so lovingly prepared.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

At the end of the Holy Mass, Mother Trinidad addressed those present, thanking, first and foremost, the kind welcome, the affection, and the encouragement of the Lord Bishop, who honored us with his presence.<\/p>\n

“The Work of the Church,” she said, “has always found in the Lord Bishop the Good Shepherd, with the heart of a father and the love of the Holy Spirit. And supported by the security that, as a pillar of the Church he is for us, we begin our work for the Church in his Diocese with confidence. <\/em><\/p>\n

Our house, a true home for everyone, opens today for all who want to come in search of Jesus in the Tabernacle or to fill their souls with the knowledge of God.<\/em><\/p>\n

God, who lives his home life in his Trinitarian intimacy,” she added, “founded his Church to extend, through Christ and through Mary, his family life with men. And we only want to be the echo of the Church itself, offering everyone the opportunity to speak of God, to deepen their knowledge of our very rich dogmas, and to live our being as children of God with a simple, joyful, and trusting spirit.” <\/em><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
